Kuube smart benches bring charging, internet access and environmental monitoring directly into public spaces, while operating entirely on solar energy. Designed for locations with sufficient sunlight, the benches can work independently from the electrical grid and provide 3G/4G connectivity, USB charging ports and wireless chargers for smartphones and other mobile devices.

The solar benches are built from aluminium with tempered glass elements and ash wood seating, combining durability with a clean, modern design. At the time, the range consisted of three different models: Kuube ECO, NANO and PLUS, accommodating up to three, four and eight people respectively. The larger PLUS model also features a covered design, providing protection from both sun and rain.

Beyond connectivity and charging, Kuube outdoor smart furniture can monitor environmental conditions such as air quality and humidity. Selected configurations can also include digital displays for local information or advertising, extending the role of the bench beyond seating.

Kuube smartbenches had already been installed in Budapest, Várpalota and Balatonalmádi in Hungary, as well as Skradin in Croatia. Designed for municipalities, universities, corporate campuses and other public spaces, the concept combines sustainable furniture, renewable energy and digital services in a practical smart city solution.
