Kuube smart benches officially entered the Japanese market in January 2025 through a distribution agreement with Japanese IT solutions provider JORUDAN. The partnership opened a new international market for our solar benches, where their independent energy supply offers benefits not only for everyday public-space use but also during natural disasters. Integrated solar panels generate the electricity required for the benches to operate, while users have access to USB ports, wireless charging and a Wi-Fi hotspot. This independent operation makes installation relatively simple and can provide access to electricity and connectivity even during power outages. In Japan, where earthquakes and typhoons can disrupt conventional infrastructure, this gives outdoor smart furniture an additional emergency preparedness role. (Sűdy és Társa Kft.)

The Japanese product range includes the eight-seat, roofed Kuube PLUS, the four-seat NANO and the compact three-seat ECO. All three models combine solar energy with connectivity and device charging, while offering different solar capacities and configurations for different public-space requirements. By the time of the Japanese launch, Kuube solutions had already appeared in 80 Hungarian cities and 11 countries.
