Fuorisalone featured Kuube smart benches as a combination of contemporary design, solar energy and digital services for public spaces. The benches operate entirely on solar power, allowing them to provide connectivity and device charging without requiring a connection to the electrical grid. This makes installation possible in a wide range of sunny public locations.

The Kuube range presented in the article consisted of three models: ECO, NANO and PLUS, designed for up to three, four and eight people respectively. All versions provide USB ports and wireless charging for smartphones, as well as 3G/4G connectivity and Wi-Fi access. The larger Kuube PLUS features a covered design, providing additional protection from rain and strong sunlight.

The solar benches combine aluminium construction, tempered glass and natural ash wood seating. Integrated sensors also allow the outdoor smart furniture to monitor environmental conditions, including air quality and humidity.

At the time of the Fuorisalone feature, Kuube smartbenches were already installed in Budapest, Várpalota and Balatonalmádi, as well as Skradin in Croatia. The combination of renewable energy, connectivity, environmental monitoring and modern design demonstrates how everyday street furniture can become part of a more connected and sustainable smart city infrastructure.
